Start with the specification, not the price
A price quoted without a specification is not comparable to any other price. Two offers for the same variety can differ on broken percentage, moisture, sortex level, crop year and packaging — each of which has a real cost.
Write down the parameters you need before requesting offers. As an export facilitator, our trade desk documents the specification first and sources against it through certified mill partnerships.
- Variety and grade — for example 1121 basmati sella, IR64 parboiled or Sona Masoori raw
- Broken percentage, moisture and sortex or purity level
- Crop year and packing month where freshness matters to your market
- Packaging format, bag weight, marking and language on the print
- Destination port, incoterm and required documentation set
